"It was the perfect for our balinese vacation. The hotel features an authentic balinese architecture and a lush green garden directly facing the ocean. The breakfast is served right by the beach side and you can enjoy your morning coffee while people watching pass by on the beach. A big plus for us was the tennis court which was well maintained. There are some beach clubs around the hotel if you like to escape the serene environment of the hotel. The hotel interior is very local but a bit dated yet still very well maintained. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding."

"The standard rooms are on the second floor, with refrigerators, but most of them don't have kitchens. The ones on the first floor are much newer and are called deluxe rooms. They have kitchens, refrigerators, and good internet. But if you want to stay in the same hotel in Bali, especially in the commercial area, it is best to book in advance to reduce your trouble of changing rooms all day. I decided to stay in Ubud for more days at short notice, so I could only book a hotel for one or two days. It was very time-consuming and tiring when I had a lot of luggage. This hotel is good overall and very quiet. There is no soundproofing except for star-rated hotels. After all, many of them are wooden houses with wooden roofs, but they are not noisy and are relatively quiet at night (except around the bar)"

"The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is good, extra charge$30 for children staying even we share bed ,in other same level hotel, we only pay extra breakfast . It is really a mistake to book by Trip for this one, cause the girl can't find our booking and keep doubting and asking me to contact with trip.com myself in late evening after a long journey to Ubud with my young daughter with serious car sick standing in front of the window long , while the lady sitting keep blaming my coming here, it is totally ridiculous feeling like why you bother me by booking our hotel , you should not be here, cause I can't find your booking, you can't stay cause you didn't pay us, anyway you are not welcome! the girl keeped me standing almost half an hour keeping convince me :we have no guest check in today, I can't find your booking, or you find Trip yourelf?even I showed my booking infos to her, even which is more expensive than their normal booking price ,while I got receipt as less as their normal price later , good stuff you !I even gave her my copy of booking infos at last! And no one come to give me an explaination or further step until I asked myself in the morning, they finally found the booking themselves in another agent, so is it my fault to come yesterday? ?? I found many ants, a huge spider and consistent creepy sounds in my room at night ,afraid and can't sleep the whole night so with light on, the room which is of course not my booking in the picture but they said same type . Sorry to bother you, so I will be Kind and won't book next time to bother each other again ."

"This hotel is too wonderful; from the facilities to the service, everything left a deep impression on me. I visited during Indonesia's rainy season, so if lucky, you could see both sunrise and sunset, but if not, it was all rainy days. During my stay, I experienced various weather conditions, from heavy rain to sunny days. The pool was stunning, offering a view of the nearby peaks on clear days. The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. The massages at the hotel were even better than the ones I tried in Thailand, and the scenery in the massage area was particularly beautiful. The floating breakfast not only looked good but also tasted delicious. I scheduled breakfast for 6:30 AM but unfortunately missed the sunrise due to overcast weather. The hotel provided a 15-minute foot massage and a free terraced rice field tour the next day. Near the hotel, there's Gembleng Waterfall, with a beautiful but slippery terrain during the climb. It would be better if there was hot water in the sink in the room. There were few outlets in the room, and I had to unplug the bedside lamp to charge my phone. No bottled water in the room was a bit inconvenient. The kettle's cord was short, and the kettle was faulty. Always remember to close the door to prevent insects from entering. The hotel offered a reasonably priced taxi reservation service; for trips to the city center, it's advisable to book at least 2 hours in advance. If heading to the town center, hotel staff can arrange a motorcycle ride. The hotel's pricing is friendly, and the staff's service is excellent. Thanks to them, my time in Bali was exceptionally wonderful. PS: If the hotel's cocktails and restaurant food could be improved, it would be even more perfect."

"The hotel is very Ins wind, the price is fair, but far from the downtown, the hotel is not a chartered car is to play GRAB, and there is no hot water in the room for 24 hours, do not know how it is, basically are taking a bath with cold water, sometimes There will be a few minutes after the hot water is gone, it is also very speechless, and the ants in the room are not! often! many! Every night, the mosquito nets should be tight, if you are afraid of ants' friends, you can't order this one. And the same price, the room for foreigners and Asians is different, the foreigner room can be sun-drenched, close to the pool, our room and a couple of Korean couples have never been able to shine. But the concave shape of the picture is definitely good. Breakfast is also good, with muffins and eggs available. In addition to the ant, I still recommend this hotel, after all, the price is very suitable."

"We didn't expect it to be so good! The hotel is family, small. It consists of several bungalows. We took a deluxe with a bathroom in the room and didn't regret it. A lot more comfortable than the street and bungalow itself is better than usual as we thought. There is a small pool with lying. Bungalow at such a low price is just great. Bed comfortable, bath large, there is a wardrobe, tv, terrace with chairs and table. Cocktails, dogs, papaws available at the hotel)) Breakfasts were brought on the terrace as there was a small repair of the roof of the area where breakfast is standard. There have been a lot of writing about breakfasts. For Bali good breakfasts. Sea 100 meters. Nearby is just nowhere. Nearby right is the beautiful Anung restaurant with live music at night. Great food, normally cooked dishes, including local, that is so rare. We were pleasantly surprised and very happy with such a neighborhood with our hotel . Also at the corner right is a good massage salon. Left is three steps and a minimarket and a food room is democratic at it. Loses of course Anung, but there can be, unlike PeoplePoint. Here you definitely don't go there, there is simply impossible. And it looks decent place like this. I'm very glad you picked this hotel. We'll definitely come back if we go to Amed again."

"Changed the room with swimming pool the next day at Ulun Hotel. The swimming pool is on the back of the room. I don't see the sun and feel the water is a bit cold. Room facilities are okay and the view is wide. Sadly, there is a gecko in the room. It's called in the middle of the night. It's particularly eerie and horrifying, like a man with a low voice and telling you something. The housekeeper came and didn't catch it. He didn't dare to sleep. He changed rooms. The room changed was very bad."

Must-know travel tips for staying in Bali

Bali

Singaporeans and other Asean nationals can visit Bali for up to 30 days and are not required to obtain a visa. Bali has a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are from April to October. Before going to Bali, it’s important to be prepared with a few essentials.

Transportation in Bali

Bali's main airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), also known as Denpasar Airport, which is located near the capital city, Denpasar. It's just 30-40 minutes from Ubud and even closer to Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu. Choosing a hotel with airport shuttle services in Bali from airport is more convenient.

You can explore Bali in many different ways. Scooter rentals are the most popular and cheap way. If you're not comfortable riding, hired cars are great for a relaxed and customised trip. Taxis are available too. While Bali doesn’t have an MRT, cycling is a scenic and enjoyable way to explore!

Top attractions in Bali

  • Penida Island: It's located in the east of Bali. The water is crystal clear here, and the coral reefs and marine life are colourful.
  • Nusa Lembongan: It's located southeast of Bali and offers a quiet, beautiful bay and countryside.
  • Real Bali Swing: You can enjoy beautiful views of Bali and the exciting swings.
  • TANAH LOT TEMPLE: Constructed in the 16th century to honour the Hindu sea god, Baruna, Tanah Lot is one of Bali's most-visited landmarks.
  • Ayung River Rafting: You can enjoy the most exciting rafting challenge in Bali and admire the rainforests, waterfalls and canyons here.

LLadySoulI had a great stay and experience at the Holiday Inn Resort. I arrived exhausted, sore & with the “Bali Belly” from my busy week in Ubud. The lovely lady at the reception immediately picked up on my state upon arrival. I appreciated her inquiring about what was wrong and her sympathy. The hotel also offered me complimentary ginger, turmeric, honey & lemon tea several times for the issue with my stomach. I found a gecko in my room. They tried to get it out but failed. They instead upgraded my room and moved me to a gecko free room. I really appreciated that gesture. The spa was equally amazing. I was met with friendly smiling staff all day long around the hotel. I loved the breakfast and the beach views. Thank you so much Holiday Inn for making my last few days in Bali Amazing. Don’t hesitate to book it!

AAeybeeIt's a beautiful property with an efficient and courteous ever smiling staff - speaks volumes for the management. The breakfast is quite elaborate and you don't miss anything - they have something for everyone. With CNY around the corner, there was a festive spirit in the air. Their event space (ballroom) is lovely. Sadly, we missed the beach as it kept raining - next time, maybe! Cheers

RRAGURAM21During my recent trip to the coastal city, I had the pleasure of staying at The Oceanview Resort, a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special experience. The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service, making it an ideal choice for both relaxation and adventure. Location and Ambiance The first thing that struck me about The Oceanview Resort was its stunning location. Perched on a cliff overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the bay, the hotel boasts panoramic views that are nothing short of breathtaking. The gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore was a constant, soothing companion throughout my stay. The resort is beautifully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, with lush greenery and elegantly landscaped gardens adding to the serene atmosphere. Rooms and Facilities My room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could have possibly needed. The king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room featured large windows that allowed for an abundance of natural light. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every morning was truly magical. The room also came with a modern, well-appointed bathroom, complete with a rainfall shower, premium toiletries, and fluffy towels—everything I needed for ultimate relaxation. The resort's facilities were equally impressive. The outdoor infinity pool, with its stunning ocean view, was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. The on-site spa offered a range of rejuvenating treatments, and I indulged in a relaxing massage that left me feeling completely refreshed. For those who enjoy staying active, the resort has a fully equipped gym, and a variety of water sports activities are available on the beach, including snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Dining Experience Dining at The Oceanview Resort was an absolute highlight. The resort offers several dining options, each with its own unique atmosphere and menu. I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at the beachfront restaurant, where I was treated to a delectable array of local seafood and international dishes. The fresh catch of the day was prepared to perfection, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and making sure every detail of my dining experience was flawless. For breakfast, the resort’s buffet offered a wide range of options, from freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to hot dishes made to order. The morning view of the sun rising over the ocean while sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee was the perfect start to each day. Customer Service One of the standout features of The Oceanview Resort is its exceptional customer service. From the moment I checked in, I felt like a valued guest. The staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering personalized recommendations and accommodating special requests without hesitation. They truly made me feel at home, which added a personal touch to my experience. Conclusion In conclusion, The Oceanview Resort is a top-tier destination that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat, a family vacation, or simply a place to unwind, this resort offers everything you could possibly need for an unforgettable stay. With its unbeatable location, outstanding facilities, and top-notch service, it is truly a place where memories are made. I will certainly be returning the next time I visit the area

There is not much micro economy outside and just one restaurant. I did manage to get Grab from the hotel.
